PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA RANGE HILLS ESTATE, PUNE

IMPLEMENTATION OF PM SHRI SCHEME 

“PM SHRI Schools” is a centrally sponsored scheme by the Government of India. This initiative is intended to develop more than 14500 PM SHRI Schools for Rising India in which every student feels welcomed and cared for, where a safe and stimulating learning environment exists, where a wide range of learning experiences are offered, 

  Under this PM SHRI Scheme following activities were observed in the vidyalaya..

• TLM for primary : To conduct activities in an effective way supplementary  graded material  is  provided to the  children to enhance their learning levels in reading, comprehension and numeracy.

 Concept  wise and subject wise worksheets are prepared for different classes. For acquiring various skills and competencies in cognitive as well as other domains like  Toys, Puzzles, puppets, games, Story books supplementary TLM is also purchased.

• Module development for Class-1:   An interim 3-month play-based-school readiness/ preparation module – for all students of  Grade 1 which  includes monthly assessment framework has been prepared.
• Exposure Visit : The students of secondary classes visited Pimpri Chinchawad  Science Park where they learned some science concepts
• Field Trip: The Primary students visited Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, Katraj and Impress Garden , Pune  to become familiar with environment.
•  Green School :  The vidyalaya developed incorporating environment  friendly aspects like Energy efficient using  LED lightings, nutrition gardens with vegetable , Medical , Kitchen garden , waste management  by  Vermicomposting ,  water conservation  through  drip irrigation and plantation.
• Library Grant : To develop love for reading among the students some interesting books are purchased for the students.
• Sports And Physical Education : In order to develop fitness as a lifelong skill and attitude sports items are purchased.
• Engagement of Coaches : To develop different skills among the students like Yoga, Boxing, Chess, Football various coaches were engaged. They guided the students in abetter way. 
• Girls self defence training : The training was given  for inculcating self-defence skills for self-protection to the girls.
• Special Educator: To cater the needs of special children the Special Educator was appointed.
• Digital Library : To support learning computers are purchased under digital library .
•  Smart Classroom : An interactive panel is purchased to provide Smart class facilities to support educational activities. 
• Innovation : To develop 21st century skills , Scientific temper among the students some expert talks were organised . 
  1. Toy Library : For joyful learning interesting educational toys are purchased.
  2. Vending Machine ( sanitary pads ) and Incinerator: The facility of Vending Machine ( sanitary pads ) and Incinerator is provided  to the girls  students for their health and hygiene.

• Science and Maths equipment : To promote Science and Maths learning at upper primary to Senior Secondary  some Science and Mathematics clubs/circles are established in the school .   Maths and Science kits are provided  to understand the concepts better.
