PM SHRI KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA RANGE HILLS ESTATE, KHADKI
BALA CONCEPT
BaLA is a way to holistically plan and use the school infrastructure. It incorporates the ideas of activity-based learning, At the core, it assumes that the architecture of school can be a resource for the teaching-learning processes.
Since buildings are the most expensive physical assets of a school, efforts should be made to derive maximum educational value from them. Thus, BaLA is about exploring uniqueness of three-dimensional space as a child friendly learning resource for all children.
In the Vidyalaya, the BaLA concept is implemented effectively. At the entrance of the Primary Gate a beautiful image showing Multiple Intelligences and their importance has been painted. It serves as a reminder to all that every student is different in their unique talents and intelligences and therefore, learns differently. The walls towards the primary section are painted with wonderful images of the environment, value of tree-plantation, good habits etc to inculcate the values in the students. The main entrance of the Vidyalaya prominently features the names and images of the top scorers to inspire the next batches of board students to aspire for good results. Towards the secondary section different posters and images reflecting inspiring thoughts by great thinkers, scientists, various core concepts are displayed so that inquisitive students may read them while passing through the school corridors.
