PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Range Hills Estate, Khadki Pune was established in the year 1983. The new building was inaugurated by Hon. Commissioner of KVS, Miss. Lizzie Jacob, I.A.S., on 15th January 1994.
The school is centrally located near Khadki Railway station. It has verdant surroundings, a spacious sprawling campus and lush greenery, with a huge playground for the holistic growth of the students. The topmost priority of the school is to meet the needs of the wards of transferable employees of Ammunition Factory Khadki, Military Hospital, A.E., CAFVD, and 512 etc. The admission is also open to the wards of other flotation population. At present approximately 1400 students are enrolled in the Vidyalaya.
The school building is well endowed with spacious, well-ventilated classrooms, well-equipped science laboratories, sports room, library, and three computer labs. The school, additionally, also has two resource rooms with touch-panel smart boards, three classrooms with projectors and screens, and one specially equipped smart classroom with an interactive panel.
The computer labs are well-equipped with modern computers and LAN facility. Each lab has 20 computers. Students also have access to the internet for research and educational purposes.
The existing school building has 34 classrooms with each class room equipped with modern educational facilities. The school has four Science labs, namely, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Junior Science lab, and one newly constructed Mathematics Lab.
The Resource Rooms are well equipped with LCD Projector, OHP, Computers and other necessary equipment to aid teachers during ICT sessions. The school has a well-stocked Library with a vast collection of classics and modern books for the students to browse and borrow. The other important rooms are Music Room, Drawing Room, S.U.P.W. Room, Games Room, Scout and Guide Room, Teaching-aids room, Examination room etc. A Common staff room is also available for the convenience of the teaching staff. There are two playgrounds for Outdoor games like Football, Basketball, Hockey, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Hand Ball etc. One big sports room is also available for indoor games like Table Tennis, Carom, Chess, and Boxing.
